Taxi Rank is a new app developed for the Cape Town market at the moment that will make getting around much easier. Smart phone users just need to go to www.taxirank.co.za, enter where they are to be picked up and dropped off, then wait to receive estimated price quotes from the different taxi companies. You then select which taxi service you would like to use, receive a confirmation email and then you are ready to be on your way. If you are feeling really lazy, the site can also automatically pick up your gps location and quickly send a cab your way.
